As you might have guessed, ‘Mo Betta Blend’ means More Better Blend, so have some Mo wine and enjoy the tantalizing flavors bouncing around on your tongue. As our friend Jeffe always says, “It’s Mo Betta ‘en Anythang.” This wine is a big daddy! Get in a Cab state of mind. Cabernet-like aromas of jalapenjo, blackberry, cinnamon and dark chocolate followed by flavors of black tea, black cherry and blueberry.
Aromas of black pepper, graham cracker, marshmallow, chocolate, blueberry and herbs jump to the top of the glass followed by sultry flavors of black cherry, plum, rose petal, cappuccino, pipe tobacco and a blackberry finish.
Ripe blueberry, strawberry, and sarsaparilla emphatically greet one’s nose, followed by rich flavors of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, plum, playful coconut notes and a long sage and black cherry finish. Best enjoyed with a kind of funny Norwegian or Swedish joke. As my Dad always says, “Never underestimate the value of a little fun.”
The grapes for this juices Chardonnay come from Vigna Monte Nero Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. This wine is ripe and tropical, brimming with flavors of Fuji apple and Asian pear with a twist of caramel and vanilla.
This delicate beauty has gorgeous aromas of cherry vanilla, pomegranate, rose petal, sage and clean rocks washed in river water; a.k.a. minerality followed by round flavors of strawberry rhubarb, plum raspberry, and cranberry.
Playful aromas of blood orange, rose petal, honeysuckle flower and guava saunter from the glass followed by flavors of pineapple, white peach, orange blossom and a nuance of pina colada in the finish. The dog playing guitar on the bottle is the best dog in the whole world, my Sunshine Ming One. He left us in 2015, and although I’ve been making this wine for a number of years, this vintage marks the start of this being a commemorative homage to my best friend. “Wa-roooooooo,” as Sun One would say.
This is the fifth vintage of the Blanc de Blancs and it is my favorite so far. It is clean and perfectly balanced, and truly showcases all the gorgeous fruit flavors from the Chard and Muscat. Aromas of honeysuckle flower, Asian pear and Granny Smith apple greet your nose, followed by refreshing flavorsof honeydew melon, white peach and orange blossom. Cheers!
