ALAMEDA - The Rock Wall Wine Company opens its tasting room within the winery in Alameda, California. Taste the Rock Wall wines as well as wines from a group of boutique urban wineries (Blacksmith, Carica, Ehrenberg, JRE, and R & B Cellars). The tasting room is open noon to 5pm, Thursday through Sunday and appointment at other times. Click here to schedule an appointment.

The Wine Spectator (Online, 9/21/09) reviews California Zinfandel and critic Tim Fish writes the following, "And finally is the impressive debut of Rock Wall wines".  In addition to the nice comment Tim Fish reviewed two wines:

ROCK WALL Zinfandel Sonoma County 2007 Score: 88 | $25 Dense and jammed with fruit, showing huckleberry, cracked pepper and licorice, with ripe but rustic tannins. Drink now through 2013. 479 cases made. -T.F

ROCK WALL Zinfandel Sonoma County Reserve 2007 Score: 90 | $35 A wild child, zesty and intense, with huckleberry, bold licorice and peppered beef aromas and briary plum, sage and espresso flavors. Drink now through 2014. 324 cases made. -T.F.
