2007 Late Harvest Riesling
PRODUCTION NOTES
The grapes for this wine were gently pressed and fermented at very cool temperatures for approximately 16 weeks in stainless steel. Once fermentation was completed, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels and aged.
WINEMAKER COMMENTS
This delicious wine was produced from late harvested Riesling grapes that had acquired Botrytis Cinerea. This special organism removes water from the grapes while leaving the sugars and acids intact. The resulting wine is a very rich, flavorful and concentrated mouthful, showing a bouquet and flavors of peaches, apricots, honeysuckle and warm waffle cones.
