2007 Petite Sirah, Mendocino County

PRODUCTION NOTES
The Petite Sirah grapes for this wine were harvested early in the morning of September 26, 2007; and fermented in ½-ton macrobins with a cold-soak and subsequent warm-up with the Rockpile yeast isolate. The fermenting juice was punched down 3 times daily. The wine was aged in new Gillet French oak barrels.

WINEMAKER COMMENTS
A beautiful example of cool climate Petite Sirah, our 2007 vintage Mendocino County offering shows great color; and exudes notes of tobacco, blueberry, crème brûlée, lavender, and black pepper.
